IN MY LIFE:
Today my son and I are headed to Ohio for what he has now become an annual pilgrimage for us. We are going to be watching the practice rounds of the Western & Southern Open!
Many in the industry say this is their favorite tournament in the United States, even over the U.S. Open. It is so affordable, everyone is so friendly, and you get unparalleled access to the players.
What most people don’t know is that the weekend before tournaments like this is the qualifying round. That means that you can get access to the grounds for an incredible price (We’re talking under $20!), yet still see some incredible tennis being played, in addition to every single main draw participant on the practice courts.
This is the tournament where my son was finally able to get autographs from his favorite players like Roger Federer and Andy Murray. I’ve been told the same principle is true for top golf events as well. We’ll bring you live updates all weekend, but if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!
