We went NONSTOP this past weekend and I wanted to share some special glimpses through pictures.
The kids decided on new costumes about an hour before Trick or Treating. Kariss was Mavis from Hotel Transylvania and Britton was Hawlucha from Pokemon.
The weather was SO cold, that we ended up heading indoors to Cool Springs Mall for Trick or Treating with our friends…
We came home and crashed in the bed, excited to all be together as a family this weekend!
We woke up on Saturday morning to find frost amidst our fall foliage!
Even so, we went on with our Garage Sale (though the turnout wasn’t as stellar as we’d hoped)…
After the garage sale, we had to run some errands, so I snapped a pic of the kids playing outside while waiting for daddy in Home Depot…
and then headed to Goodwill for their Half Price sale…look at these gems I found 😉
From there, we discovered that our friend Patricia was in town opening up a new Cheesecake Factory at Cool Springs Mall, so we popped in to say hi…
Kariss had Nutcracker practice and while she was there, Ricky, Britton and I went to Centennial Park, where we had a mini date on a swing…
From there we to our friend’s farm for a Fall party. The boys played tackle football into the wee hours. At last count, the score was 78-78..
But perhaps the most exciting part of the weekend was the fact that our kids chose to get baptized on Sunday morning at Crosspoint!
Sunday afternoon, we celebrated the upcoming wedding of Brendon & Nina. Ricky knows Brendon from Winter Jam (he played keys for Plumb and is a part of Tenth Avenue North…who we also know from our Florida days) and it turns out Nina used to live in FL as well and is good friends with our good friends, the Irvines! Not only that, but Nina is getting ready to graduate from Lipscomb University, where I teach…can you say small world? Here’s our attempt at a group selfie at their Nashville ‘reception’:
We also never had a chance to take any Fall family pics this year, so I made the kids pose by the back of this cute truck all decked out with the obligatory pumpkin & hay bale 😉
So, that’s what we were up to. How was your weekend?
