February 3, 2015: University Extracurricular Savings
Curious about how you can enjoy some of the finer things in life at a fraction of the cost?
Walking back to my car in the parking garage at the University where I teach the other day, I saw a sign about tennis court rental fees. Not only did I discover it’s free for any of us who work at or attend university but even for the public, it was only seven dollars an hour. That’s a fraction of what it would typically cost to play this otherwise expensive sport.
Then it got me thinking, a college or university is a great way to experience events that would normally be cost prohibitive at a very affordable price. Things like concerts, plays, gallery openings and even Sporting events go on all the time and are sometimes even free
So whether you were looking for a night on the town or simply a way to enjoy the arts without breaking the bank, check in with your local college or university and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
