February 6, 2015: Travel on Saturday
Do you know when the cheapest day to travel is? I have your answer coming up!
Experts go back and forth on what the cheapest day to book travel is, but when it comes to the cheapest day to actually travel, there’s pretty unanimous agreement: it’s Saturday!
Recently, I was helping my mom book airfare through a fare compare website and I saw this firsthand. By having her travel on Saturday instead of Sunday, we saved over $100 each way on her ticket.
Think about it: Saturday is the most common day for people to actually be enjoying a destination, so planes have a lot of seats to fill for people that typically travel somewhere on a Friday and come back on a Sunday, and you get to be the recipient of those savings!
