Today I left for a 24 hour business trip / blogger event to Moe’s Southwest Grill headquarters.
It’s not often that I fly somewhere for such a short time with such an intense focus, so it took a lot of thought to pack my suitcase for this trip! Thus why I wanted to share it with you:
First off, you have to have a great carry on big enough to carry the essentials, yet small enough to fit in the overhead bin. I also wanted a roll-on
that could double as a work bag. The eBags Mother Lode 21″ mini wheeled duffel fit the bill perfectly:
Of course, you need the perfect outfit that will serve you just as well in a meeting as it will on the plane. Enter the J.Crew (Outlet) cardigan in a bright color and strapless dress in classic black & white:
It’s also important to have my computer, phone & chargers on hand, but equally important is staying hydrated. That’s why I don’t go anywhere without my Brita personal filter bottle:
Of course. You can’t forget food reading material for those times in flight when personal electronic devices are not allowed. My selections for this trip:
– “Quitter” by Jon Acuff (he gave everyone a copy after he spoke at Blissdom last month)
– “The 21 Most Powerful Minutes in a Leader’s Day” by John C. Maxwell (I’m reading this with my Cultivate Influence group of ladies at Crosspoint Church)
