Forgive my rant, but this needs to be discussed…
The Daily Dash: September 7, 2017 {Is Swearing OK?}
IN THE NEWS:
* Hurricane Irma plows through the Caribbean, killing at least 8 & knocking out power to a million

IN THE WORD:
God’s purpose is to enable me to see that He can walk on the storms of my life right now – Oswald Chambers
IN MY LIFE
I heard a news program talking this morning about the potential social benefits of swearing. I just have to say, I WHOLEHEARTEDLY DISAGREE.
A high school teacher once said that swearing is what people do who don’t have good vocabularies. The anchor even made the comment that it’s jut plain lazy. Whatever you want to call it, I don’t find the need to swear and frankly, find it offensive.
Hear me clearly, this has nothing to do with my faith (or I should say, didn’t originally stem from my faith because I didn’t come to know Christ until later in life); it’s not something I want to hear, nor is it something I want my children exposed to.
There have been many occasions where I’ve been in an uncomfortable situation at conferences, gatherings or even movies because of prolific swearing. It hurts my hearts & my ears and it doesn’t have a place in our daily conversation. There are many other words in this great big world of ours to properly express yourself.
