First off, I want to say a big thanks to all of you for liking, commenting and engaging with me after yesterday’s Daily Dash. It’s so nice to know you all are on the other end of the camera.
You may have noticed I’m not on the dash today: that’s right, I’m coming to you live from Walt Disney World’s Pop Century Resort. Disney’s new Toy Story Land opens tomorrow (June 30) within Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It features two new rides, including a Slinky Dog roller coaster (Slink Dog Dash), Alien Swirling Saucers (think a more family-friendly Tilt-A-Whirl featuring your favorite little green aliens) and the fan-favorite Toy Story Mania, which has added an extra track so even more guests can enjoy this popular attraction.
Guests can also eat at Woody’s Lunch box and you’ll find a TON of new menu items and souvenirs featuring your favorite Disney Pixar characters.
Another exciting discovery I made while staying at Pop Century is that construction has already started on Disney’s new Skyliner! Longtime Disney fans may find it reminiscent of Disney’s Skyway (1956-1994) that used to connect guest from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland inside of Magic Kingdom. As much as I wanted to bring you coverage of the Toy Story Land opening firsthand, my SIL went into the hospital this morning to deliver her second child, so we’ll be headed to South Florida to meet our new niece!
