In today’s Daily Dash video, June 27 2014, I reveal what I learned from my counselor yesterday and what I uncovered in God’s Word on the topic…
The Daily Dash: June 27 2014 {Clinical Depression & God’s Word}
IN THE NEWS:
*USA loses to GER in World Cup 1-0
*Play at Wimbledon continues (Venus Williams loses)
*The rest of the world carries on…
IN MY LIFE:
*Well, it’s official, my counselor says I have Clinical Depression (why does the mere addition of the word “clinical” make the diagnosis sound that much more depressing?
*But guess what I found in my (mentor’s) One Year Bible on June 25, the day AFTER my dark pit…that I just read this morning…
*On a lighter note, my 8 & 9 year old children were invited to start practicing with the middle school tennis team! Guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree after all 😉
Hope you make it a great day!

Sami — I’m going to be praying for you… I KNOW depression is a dark pit, but I also know that God is there with you in that pit. Keep that smile, my friend — and hugs to you.
Thank you SO much Mary…yes, yes He is. Appreciate you!
Loved this Sami…tears and joy as I listened…I love how you ALLOW the LORD to redeem your broken heart. You give so much hope to other fellow strugglers by being vulnerable! As my first Pastor told me as a very young Christian–“If you try to lead by being perfect–you will not have very many followers BUT if you lead with honesty and candidness about your flaws–thousands will follow!” I am an enthusiastic follower of the many Faithful THOUGH FLAWED Followers of Jesus–like YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know me Jackie, I never want to pretend to be something I’m not. I pray that this confession tells the enemy to go you know where because there is POWER in the name of JESUS! Love you always!
Sami: this is the first daily dash I’ve watched (altho’ I’ve LOVED the idea and want to steal it!) and I love hearing your voice! Praying for you and so thankful for the gift of God’s Word. Praying it is planted deep in your heart and continues to grow and bring fruit to sustain you! LOVE YOU, sister!
