Today my first baby turns 14 (hard to believe I’m that old, isn’t it? ?
I’m caught between wanting to hold onto her for as long as I can and wanting to raise her to be released into adulthood. It’s true, raising teenagers is not for the faint of heart, but if I can remember not to take everything personally and keep the end goal the end goal, I think we’ll do just fine.
My daughter is supremely talented, beautiful and a friend to many. She hasn’t even begun to grasp just how gifted and gorgeous she is, which makes her even more charming.
Kariss, I pray that you will always remember you are a daughter of the King and we are proud to be your parents no matter what. May this year be filled with numerous blessings and may you continue to be a blessing to all you encounter…we love you!
