IN MY LIFE:
We had no idea what we were walking into when we returned home last night. After celebrating a friend’s birthday over Mexican food, we returned home about midnight to find water flooding out of our garage…which unfortunately was stemming from a burst water filter in our fridge that wouldn’t stop gushing in our kitchen, so it soaked through the kitchen floor down into the basement and into the garage.
We finally got things dried up by about 2am, but my nerves took a lot longer to subside, and, to be honest, I’m still not feeling at ease. I feel like our foundation was rocked – literally – and between not hearing back from our insurance and dreading looking through soaked boxes of memories and memorabilia, I’m at an emotional low.
