IN MY LIFE
This morning my daughter reminded me today was a special day…sort of: it’s my half-birthday. Considering I can barely remember my age as it is, I’m not sure if throwing a “half” on the end of it is going to help me at all, but it was sweet of her to point it out.
You see, in our family, we celebrate half birthdays because those of us with summer birthdays never got to celebrate our birthdays in school, so we picked our half birthday as an opportunity to bring in cupcakes and such.
So what does that mean for our family? The ‘half-birthday girl’ (or boy) gets to select their menu of choice for me to make for dinner. Since today is mine, I’m not exactly sure how that’s going to work, but I’m sure we’ll figure something out 🙂
