IN MY LIFE
I feel like yesterday was our first full day back into the swing of things: work, school, sports and music. Even though the weather is colder and we’ve had a snow day, I still don’t feel like we’re in the thick of winter.
Today is much of the same, except we get to see a special friend later tonight. We learned from one of our mentors long ago to place people in the lives of our children who love them like we do but may have a better chance at getting our kids to open up than we would, especially in their teenage years. Tonight we get to have dinner with one such individual in our daughter’s life and then let the two of them have some one-on-one time. If you don’t have individuals like this in place in your kids’ lives, I highly recommend doing so ASAP.
