IN MY LIFE:
We had an incredibly busy weekend, but incredibly celebratory as well. Our son had a basketball game, haircut and church Christmas party. Our daughter also performed in her winter youth orchestra concert. We weren’t at home much, but we were all together!
We actually kicked off our weekend together at one of our favorite family holiday traditions: Nashville Ballet’s Nashville Nutcracker. Our daughter performed as part of the youth cast for two years, but we loved it before that and we still love it.
I rarely say this about any production, but it is truly flawless. Between the nods to historic Nashville landmarks, the exquisite live music provided by the Nashville Symphony, the adorable (& talented!) youth cast and the over 50 professional dancers, I can’t think of one thing I’d change about the show. It’s everything you’d want and expect from a professional production of the Nutcracker and more…plus it’s been reimagined with a touch of Music City you truly couldn’t find anywhere else. This is NOT your grandmother’s production of the Nutcracker!
