IN MY LIFE
Since Friday, I have pretty much been bunkered down with my son at the Opryland Resort with my son for his first ever appearance at chess nationals. I’ll admit, it was not the most exciting weekend for us parents, but he finished fourth in his division, just off the podium, so we couldn’t be more proud.
We also got to take part in an evening of worship with Mike Weaver and a special appearance by our friend Plumb last night. It was a free concert and the only requirement for admission was to bring food for a local elementary school food pantry, so everyone benefited. We topped off the night by all going to waffle house for a late night breakfast, which is the perfect start to winter break!
