It’s the first day of school here in Nashville! I know, when I was a kid we didn’t go back until after Labor Day, but our kids also get out of school in May. This is the first year in four years that not only are both my kids going to the same school, but neither of them are starting a new school.
My son could hardly sleep last night because he was so excited to get back to school and my daughter, while not elated to go back to school, felt more comfortable and confident than we’ve seen in quite a while when it comes to school, which makes my mama’s heart feel good.
That being said I’m exhausted after staying up late and getting up early to make homemade pop tarts and gluten free zucchini muffins for the occasion. But I’m definitely ready to get back into a more normal schedule again ?. This evening I’ll be speaking at an adjunct professor event at Lipscomb as well.
