IN MY LIFE
After a late-night drive to Dollywood after K’s volleyball game on Friday, we made it to orientation for the new Dollywood Insiders panel. Because we stayed at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa, we received Time Saver passes to use at the park, which made it possible for us to ride a lot of rides in a short amount of time. This was critical because not only was the park crowded on Saturday, but we didn’t have long before we had to turn around and drive back to Nashville.
After a few hours at church Sunday morning, we went home and crashed. As much as I wanted to attend the Bears vs. Titans game live, I don’t know if I could have made it because we’re all a bit sick. The kids especially have been fighting off colds all weekend, so we kept them home today because they aren’t sleeping well since they can’t breathe out their nose ?
As excited as I am about the U.S. Open starting today (the final tennis Grand Slam tournament of the year), I’m sad for everyone in Houston in the path of Hurricane Harvey. If anyone can empathize with what they are going through, it’s those of us who lived through the Nashville Flood of 2010. We are praying and donating to the Red Cross on behalf of everyone affected, and encourage you to do the same!
