Who would have thunk it?
Today, my husband and I celebrate our 15th anniversary. After being separated five years ago, I personally think any anniversary is a big one, but I guess this one is what you’d call a ‘mike marker’ in our marriage.
I’m sure it doesn’t surprise you that we don’t actually have anything planned for today…we’re not big on celebrating things on the actual day they occur. Plus we’re not really in a time or space where we can take a big trip or even time away: school is getting ready to start (a new school at that) and so we’re savoring the end of summer and pinching pennies.
If history repeats itself, we may end up at Morton’s with our kids to take advantage of their summer special (I have a hard time saying no to their homemade potato chips with bleu cheese!).
Make sure you head over to Instagram to see the card I made for my hubs: it’s reminiscent of the very first homemade photo card I made him after I told him I loved him for the first time. Babe, if you’re reading this, know that I still choose you to do this life with!
