IN MY LIFE
Just when it looked like things were taking a turn for the better, our boy got the boot…literally. Luckily, my husband was able to find a boot for B’s foot at Goodwill for $2 so he didn’t have to be wheeled around in an office chair by his classmates anymore. So we finally got him mobile at school yesterday, but then got a text at 12:30 that he threw up. After throwing up a second time at 1pm, we got the call to come get him.
The sickness continued until about 9pm last night, making me realize this was most likely his August round of strep (he had two last August!). I promptly called the pediatrician this morning to take him in and she said it came up positive before the test was even finished. So here we go again…
This weekend is also K’s first school volleyball tournament, so we’re excited to cheer her on. We’re also hosting our first middle school youth group event for church at our house on Sunday. While I’m not sure it’s big enough to hold everyone, it’s one of the reasons we moved back into Nashville proper, so that we could open our home to others and have a place where our kids felt it was convenient and comfortable for them to invite their friends into.
