’m doing something I don’t like to do to go somewhere I’ve never gone today: I’m driving by myself to go to Asheville for the first time for the FamilyLife Women’s Getaway with Barbara Rainey. Though we missed the FamilyLife Cruise this year, I feel like I’m making up for lost time with our Weekend to Remember marriage getaway last weekend and then this weekend. I’ve never done one of these events, or have I ever been to Asheville, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store! In the meantime, I covet all of your prayers for safe travel, especially through the mountains 🙂
PRAYER FOCUS: Power
I’m reminding of 2 Timothy 1:7 today: for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control. I’m praying that over you and for myself today as I will not be shaken by fear or what I’m not good at, but rather, focus on the power of God and the Holy Spirit within me!
