IN MY LIFE:
If you hadn’t noticed, I haven’t posted on social media yet this year. But boy did you all respond when I finally did!
I hesitated posting a picture of me in a swimsuit, but finally decided to because I accomplished something I originally didn’t think was possible. (See the post here: https://www.samicone.com/im-not-going-to-apologize/)
I certainly wasn’t fishing for compliments, and really didn’t intend for it to be a post where I expected you all to encourage me, but that’s exactly what you all did.
I was hoping to encourage each of you to embrace where you are, trying something new, and love yourself a little more. Well, I hope I still did some of that, the messages, texts, and phone calls I received made me laugh and cry.
You reminded me that even if I lost weight, felt healthy and chose one word for 2019, there will still always be something we could find in ourselves that we don’t like. But if we try the hard things, have fun and lift each other up, the other stuff seems less important.
Thank you for encouraging me to keep doing what I’m doing, and in turn, I pray I inspire you to do the same.
