May 20, 2015: Swap Babysitting
So many couples skip date nights, not because of the cost of the date, but because of the cost of babysitting. Today I’ll help you save and have fun!
With the going rate of a good babysitter being anywhere between $10-$20 an hour, that figure can scare any parents off from a date night together. So why not rethink who you use for babysitting?
If you don’t have family near you that are willing to watch their niece or grandson for the night, ask family friends if they’d be willing to watch your kids while you enjoy a dinner out with your sweetheart. In return, you can offer to watch their kids so they can do the same later in the month.
The benefit? Not only do you save money, but if your families are friends already, then your kids will think of this like a playdate and maybe you and your spouse can sneak away to watch some TV you’ve been wanting to catch up on while the kids entertain themselves!
