“I can’t stop staring at this Bible it’s so pretty!!!”

Those were literally the first words out of the mouth of my six year old daughter when she first saw the Shiny Sequin Bible. So instead of me reviewing this latest resource from Tommy Nelson, I thought I’d share her words instead:

“I’m going to start a God Club. I’ll bring my Shiny Bible and share stuff about God and the Bible and special stuff like that…there are full color maps in the back…the WAY back! If anyone didn’t know about God’s Word, I could tell them about God and share some of the verses in this Bible. I’m not going to let anyone touch it but me, it’s that special.”

(Ok, so the last part doesn’t necessarily reflect brotherly love, but you gotta admire her transparency!)

I love that this Bible really emulates God’s Word. Well, of course, it is God’s Word. But it reflects the fact that the Bible itself is truly beautiful from the inside out. This Bible is the full Bible in the International Children’s Bible translation and happens to tug at the heart strings of our little princesses with its exterior as well.

Though my daughter has been reading for a little while now, she’s never been interested in reading the actual Bible – just Bible stories. I love that this resource has now brought her to read God’s Word.
