March 31, 2015: Search for Scholarships
One of the biggest expenses you’ll face as a parent is sending your child off to college. But did you know that there are billions of dollars available to help you?
I don’t think most people are aware that millions of dollars a year go unclaimed in potential scholarships. But they’re not just going to jump out at you; you have to find them.
If you have a child going to college in the near future, start searching for scholarships. And yes, I meant that as a plural. Scholarships vary from a couple hundred dollars to help with supplies all the way up to a full ride.
So even if your student is hesitant to get a job to help pay for college, tell them to start surfing the web in search of scholarships instead.
