IN MY LIFE:
The Queen’s funeral has made me reflect on several things:
– How we can’t take one day of our lives for granted.
– That we should embrace our loved ones and let them know how we feel about them.
– With my son being named Britton, it makes me sad that I still haven’t taken him to the UK. I desperately want to take him on a trip with my mom so he can see where she grew up.
Royal Correspondent Katie Nicholl summed it up. best when she said:
“We’re mourning the loss of an age, not just a Queen…it’s everything great about Britain you saw today.”
I guess I’ve just been emotional lately. If you noticed on my IG stories, I’ve been cooking and baking a lot of new things lately. It’s been good, but I’m not the quickest in the kitchen. I guess it’s been a “healthy” mix of procrastination and self-care.
All that to say, I know I’ve been on and off of here, but I’ve been so busy and emotional that I just haven’t been able to get on the dash lately. Thanks for always showing up when I am here 🙂
