I am excited to let you know about this event: Nashville Ballet is offering free dance classes for all ages on Saturday, July 30 from 10am – 1pm in association with National Dance Day.
Get moving and celebrate National Dance Day with us! We are opening our studios for FREE sample classes and choreography with the Nashville launch of DANCEFIX, a new adult dance workout class coming exclusively to Nashville Ballet this fall. All ages are encouraged to participate during National Dance Day. No dance skills required!
Schedule of events:
National Dance Day Schedule:
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. DANCEFIX (session one)
11 a.m. – noon DANCEFIX (session two)
Noon – 1 p.m. SYTYCD choreography
National Dance Day classes are samples of regular classes offered at School of Nashville Ballet. Special discounts will be offered on select School of Nashville Ballet classes for National Dance Day participants who register at the event. Discounts include 15% off fall registration for Studio Division, a new offering that allows ages 8-18 of any experience level to take classes in ballet, jazz, hip hop and musical theater on a flexible schedule. Plus, deals on Community Division class packages, for ages 18 and over. Purchase a Community Division 10-class package and receive two free classes or purchase a 24-class package and receive four free classes.
Last year, the Nashville Ballet also invited children ages 8-12 years old to audition for this year’s performance of Nashville’s Nutcracker. This is the only opportunity the general public will have to perform on stage with Nashville Ballet’s company and second company members this season.
Kariss tried out last year and made the cast as a Garden Fairy! There is a minimal cost to be a part of the cast (I believe it was $35) and the experience was one we’ll never forget.
Nedless to say, we love the Nashville Ballet Company and are excited to let others experience them for FREE!
