There’s something really special about the Nashville Zoo.
Honestly, I don’t want to spend a lot of time telling you about the unique animals they have or how many square feet the savannah is. if you get nothing else out of this Nashville Zoo review, know this: the Nashville Zoo is a place where you’ll want to hang out with your family.
Sure they have a wide and wonderful selection of animals, but what strikes me most about the Nashville Zoo is its unique spaces. There is a lot of walking involved, but you truly get transported when you visit each individual section. Not to mention, they have an AMAZING playground with plenty of shady seating for those parents who aren’t brave enough to swing around with their kids!
Another thing I love about the Nashville Zoo is that they’re always partnering with other local organizations to create unique experiences. On our most recent trip, it was Nashville Preds day at the zoo. Not only could you meet the hockey players and cheerleaders, but there were a ton of great family-friendly games, giveaways and of course, bounce houses!
Take a look at all the fun we had:
I’m not one for animal pictures, but I snapped at the perfect time to catch this flamingo doing an arabesque!
And who doesn’t love scenery like this?
And it wouldn’t have been Preds day without a picture with their mascot (don’t mind that crazy climbing wall in the background 😉
You won’t want to miss these upcoming September Events at the Nashville Zoo:
*Senior Day on Friday, September 16 (Guests 65 & older get free admission from 9-4 & a free pedometer from Health Spring!)

Hello love the Zoo.. Like the new exhibit of the Flamimgos!! My favorit is #26 🙂
I follow you on google reader and like you on facebook We wanna go to the zoo over fall break. We love the zoo
We had Paisley’s 4th bday party there last weekend. Trust me, it was a hit for all the kiddos! Quite a trick to herd 20+ 4 year olds around, so thank goodness for my parent friends, but the Nashville Zoo made it easy to plan with the “zoo it yourself” party. Pictures are priceless!
The Nashville Zoo is the greatest! On a hot day, I love hitting the indoor area with fish. Also, I always used to skip the animal shows…that was a mistake…they are great!
We love the giraffe exhibit at the Nashville zoo. My son also loves the bounce house
