Have you experienced the craze that is boba tea yet? Here in Nashville, Boba Tea spots are popping up everywhere. But there is one Boba Tea near me that has our heart: Banh Mi and Roll+.
Co-owner Ken Vo came on The Sami Cone Show to teach us how to make Nashville Spring Tea. I prefer fruit tea over milk tea. This is the perfect example of how to use fresh fruit to create boba tea recipes.
Nashville Spring Boba Tea Recipe
There are several things that set the boba tea at Banh Mi and Roll+ apart from the competition and its all encompassed in their tagline: Fresh. Homemade. Natural.
All the boba tea they make is completely fresh; they never use powder in their tea.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of fresh orange
- 2 fresh strawberries
- 1 Peach tea bag
- 2 oz of orange juice
- 1 tsp strawberry jam
- 2 oz of simple syrup
- 7 oz of ice
Directions
- Making peach tea (put 1 bag of peach tea bag in a cup, pour 7 oz hot water in, leave for 3 min, remove tea bag)
- Smash 2 fresh strawberries in a shaker
- Add 1 tsp of strawberry jam
- Add 7oz of peach tea
- Add 4oz of orange juice
- Add 2oz of simple syrup
- Add 7oz of ice
- Shake well
- Pour mixture in the cup (24oz cup recommended)
