None of my hometown teams made it to the Super Bowl yesterday, but I have two unique connections to each of the two teams…

IN MY LIFE:

It was another busy weekend in the Cone Home! Between games, practices and school dances, I didn’t feel like we sat still for very long.

Of course yesterday was the Super Bowl, where the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the San Francisco 49ers. Not only did the Chiefs emerge victorious, but Patrick Mahomes earned the MVP award.

Even though I’m from Chicago and live in Nashville now (thanks for a great season, Titans!), my dad lived in Kansas City most of my life, so I was so glad they won.

But last week, I learned about a pretty cool connection to the 49ers too: turns out Jimmy Garoppolo and I graduated from the same high school! I promptly told my kids we went to high school together, but then they called me on it, realizing I graduated about the same time he was born 🙂 Close enough…

PRAYER FOCUS: Grace
The concept of grace has come up a lot in the past week for me. So whatever you’re going through this Monday, I pray grace over you.
