IN MY LIFE:
In the midst of the chaos of our world last week, I shared the personal chaos I’ve been struggling with over the past year.
I’m still blown away by the support and love you have shown me. In the midst of my processing and learning, I’m careful with what to take in to my own heart and what to hand back to God. I recognize I have a long road of healing ahead, both for me and my children. But what I am certain of is God has called me to this exact moment today.
I will not spend time wishing away my past, but instead, I will be more careful of how I cultivate my future.
One of the most difficult things this past year has been learning how to continue to make a living online while being true to myself, my situation and my emotions…while parenting well. I found hope in other women’s stories, whether shared personally, through books or online.
But I didn’t find enough of those stories.
While I’m not sure what I’m called to share yet, I know there is power in each of our personal stories. I am confident God brings us through valleys, not so we can then hide in the forest, but shout victory and encouragement from the mountaintop.
I pray that as I absorb light from so many of you, I can redirect it and shine it out upon others. Thank you for taking time to listen and share in my story.
PRAYER FOCUS: Integrity
As I’ve been reading to Job on my Chronological Bible daily reading plan, I’m reminded in the midst of suffering, and even once we’re out of the darkest of pits, all we often have to cling to is God and our integrity. I pray you cling to God’s truth and allow it to guide your thoughts and decisions today.
