IN MY LIFE
This weekend was full of Christmas fun! Friday night, our kids both participated in church youth group Christmas parties in addition to a volunteer shopping event. Saturday we had basketball games and a family game night with friends.
Yesterday, we were a house divided; because the kids started midterms today, they stayed home all day after church to study. But last night, our small group joined with two others to go sing Christmas Carols to those who could not leave their homes or assisted living facilities. Afterwards, we all gathered for a pot-luck. I had tears while we ate at the end of the night because it was such a great night surrounded by amazing community.
I hated that our kids couldn’t go and hate seeing them stress out the way they have been. As positive as their new school has been, I’ve never seen them under such pressure for midterms like they feel now. Thankfully, they’ve been doing well all year and I’m confident these exams will be no different.
PRAYER FOCUS: Wisdom
Just like my kids, may you all have wisdom to know what you can control and let go of what you cannot.
