I have to admit, laundry may not be the most exciting part of my day. But if it’s something I’m going to have to do for the rest of my life, then I want to do it well and I want to make it FUN!
And who better to give a lesson in laundry than the folks at ARM & HAMMER???? After all, they’ve been in the laundry business for years!
Frankly, I’ve loved getting a glimpse into your lives and routines this past month. It’s been fun for me to see how you turn this ordinary task into something extraordinary with your kids…how you save money while still giving your family what they need….how you too are looking for ways to minimize your effort while maximizing effectiveness in the laundry room.
One thing is certain: there is no ONE way to do laundry. What is important is to find what works for you, get the whole family on board and STICK WITH IT! Whether it’s printing coupons out from the ARM & HAMMER Savings Center, waiting for a sale and then stocking up on your favorite detergent or making sure your kiddos are doing their fair share in the laundry department, you all know how to save time and money when it comes to laundry!

hang clothes out to try 2 save money
Remember to thoroughly search through pockets to remove lipstick, pens or markers that might discolor clothing in the wash.
I try to rinse out the detergent cap with water and pour it into the washing machine to get as much as I can out of the detergent!
I suggest removing lint from the dryer after every load of clothing has been laundered.
Another thing I do is hang up as much of my laundry as I can as soon as it comes out of the washing machine. This saves on electricity with my dryer and gets rid of wrinkles.
Teach your kids how to do their own laundry 😉
My best laundry tip is to pre-treat stains. That’s a must do thing with my son!
Another tip: Never keep your dryer in a cold place, like a garage or damp basement. It will work much less efficiently if it has to work in the cold.
Another laundry tip: Don’t overload your washer. Clothes must be able to move freely in the washer in order to get clean.
Another tip is to use color safe detergent, and a premium brand like Arm & Hammer.
Have a hang up rack with hangers and hangers for pants/skirts.
Another common sense laundry tip is to clean the lint filter in your dryer after every load of laundry to keep it working in perfect order.
I suggest pre-treating stains before putting clothes in the wash.
Another laundry tip is to keep your laundry room organized. I use shelves and bins.
Use vinegar to set the color in dark/bright colored clothing (like denim)

My laundry tip is to always bring soiled clothing into the basement with me if I happen to go down stairs. That way, I won’t need to carry the entire hamper, which can be quite heavy, especially now that football season is in full swing!
I have cupboards over the washer and dryer to store laundry products
Another laundry tip is to use washing mean cleaner at least once a month so the washer stays smelling fresh.
Pretreat stains-sadly I learned this lesson the hard way
Another tip is to keep a laundry basket for delicates and another one for my regular load. That way everything is separated from the start.
Use a high quality laundry soap
A laundry tip that always works is SEPERATE!!

My best tip is to pre-treat stains.
my laundry tip-teach your kids how to do their own laundry-all three of mine do their own helps me out immensely:) thanks
My favorite laundry tip is always wait for soap specials and do my laundry in off peak hours. I am happy when my electric bills is not that high, and my laundry is up to date.
may laundry tip- instead of putting the clothes in a basket and waiting it to fill up- we put our dirty clothes directly into the washing machine-when its full-we turn it on- i never do more than one load at a time and i never get behind

The best laundry tip I can give is to ALWAYS have a stain fighter on hand, kids and stains go hand in hand!
My laundry tip is to get the kids involved in folding and putting their own clothes away. It goes a lot faster!
