IN MY LIFE:
I’ve taken a few unintentional days off thanks to Mother Nature. The icy rain started in Nashville on Sunday and that, combined with snow and frigid temperatures, have kept us homebound ever since.
I have to admit; I don’t mind it.
We’ve had snow this year, but nothing that’s stuck. And in a weird way, this has been eerily reminiscent of the early days of the shut down last year. But this time there seems to be a lesson involved.
While COVID has stuck around longer than any of us would have liked or imagined, a lot of the hurry of life has returned. Having a few days to reconnect and reflect has been good for us. Not to mention, my son and I have taken up watching all the Marvel movies in chronological order 🙂 .
I pray you all are safe where you are and even if you’re not experiencing a snow day, that you’re able to take your own personal moment of reflection right now.
(& speaking of chronological, I’m in the midst of revising my Once a Day Chronological Bible reading plan with devotions. Even though it’s not January, you can start at Day 1 on this plan that takes you through the Bible chronologically).
PRAYER FOCUS: Peace
It’s easy to look outside at the snow covered trees and lawns and feel a sense of peace. The key is to capture this sentiment and exhibit it even in the moments that don’t look and feel so peaceful.
