IN MY LIFE:
This morning I revisited something I used to do a lot when I was a kid…I went ice skating at Opryland! I used to take lessons when I was a little girl in Chicago. But as I’ve gotten older, my skills shrank away.
I likened ice skating to bowling: it’s something you do with friends once in a while once you’re an adult. And because we don’t do it very often, I’m pretty bad at it. But that wasn’t the case today! In fact, I was told I was talented (you can bet I got that on camera).
I went to film a segment for an upcoming episode of The Sami Cone Show to tell people about the inaugural Winterfest at Gaylord Opryland Resort. But in the process, I also got a private ice skating lesson from a professional ice skater starring in their Fire & Ice Show.
I won’t give away all the details, but stay tuned to find out how you can skate at Opryland this winter (hint, you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to take lessons) and watch this amazing ice show too. Learn more about Winterfest and private skating lessons.
