How to Memorize Psalm 1
It’s no surprise that music aids memory. (Think about it, how many songs can you still sing from the 80’s and 90’s?). So if you’re wondering how to help your kids memorize scripture, music is the answer.
I’ve created an original scripture memory song, with signs, to help you and your kids memorize Psalm 1.
The sign language is not traditional American Sign Language, but there are elements of it that I use.
Psalm 1 Words
While I typically teach my kids verses out of the NIV, it turns out I’ve blended a
Blessed is the man, who does not walk
in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
But his
and on His law, he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree, planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever he does prospers.
Not so the wicked;
They are like the chaff that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked, will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over, the way of the righteous,
but the way, of the wicked, will perish.
