Honest Unstoppable Movie Review {Daily Dash: January 14, 2025}
IN MY LIFE:
I didn’t know what I was getting into when I was invited to a screening of the new Amazon Prime movie, “Unstoppable”.
The movie is based on the true story of Anthony Robles, a young man born without a leg who dreamed of becoming a championship wrestler. But this is so much more than just a sports movie. It tackles not only his dedication and perseverance in the face of adversity, but also chronicles difficulties with his stepfather and other obstacles he had to overcome.
The film also documents the faith and strength of his mom, Judy. The strong acting is brought alive by a powerful cast including Jennifer Lopez, Don Cheadle, Michael Peña, Bobby Cannavale, and Jharrel Jerome as Robles. Anthony Robles also was on set and filmed as Jerome’s body double, which truly helped bring the wrestling scenes to life.
“Unstoppable” is coming to Prime Video on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
