IN MY LIFE:
I know it’s been a week since I’ve been on the dash. I’ll be honest, I’m going through a really tough time personally
I have a new friend, Kristie of Neatly Balanced, who has been helping me organize my office. Not only is she a talented organizer, but she has a heart to help others through her organizing.
One of the ways she does that is through taking donations from her clients and taking them to a variety of non-profit organizations that can really use those items. For example, she took some gently used skincare items I had and donated them to a women’s organization helping unhoused women find jobs. Kristie then brings back detailed donation receipts to her clients that they can use for tax deduction purposes.
Even if you don’t use her for her organization services, Kristie offers porch pick-ups for items you want to donate. She then goes through the items, donates them and returns later with an itemized deduction slip. This service typically costs $20, but she’s offering a way to get that service for free this month.
Help the Nashville Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition
She is helping coordinate a huge yard sale type event in April for Nashville Anti Human Trafficking Coalition, which is an organization she works closely with and donates a TON of women’s items to. Their sale will be open to the public, but women who have completed their recovery program after being rescued from a life of trafficking will get to shop for free using vouchers from NAHT. All proceeds will go to NAHT and their building expansion to help more people!
She is asking for any and all donations. Kristie is also waiving her typical $20 porch pick-up fee for the month of March. ALSO, for every pack of BRAND NEW panties, socks, or bras someone purchases to donate to NAHT rescue closet, it will earn you a future FREE porch pick up!
(FYI, she also needs clothing racks (to borrow!) and hangers (to keep) donated AND VOLUNTEERS for the event. Message @neatlybalanced or leave a comment below if you want more info.
