IN MY LIFE:
Today is Grandparents’ Day at our kids’ school and my mother-in-law flew in last night for the week so she could be here for it! Our kids are truly blessed because we got to see my mom (“Mumsy”) last weekend in Chicago and now they get to spend the week with “Nani”.
I know you may find this shocking for humans that were birthed from my body, but my kids don’t love the spotlight. However, we forced (yes forced) our son to join the choir this year…and while our daughter loves to play the cello, she doesn’t love to perform.
But I’m a firm believer that every child needs to perform in an embarrassing school concert at least once in their lives to get pictures to show at their future wedding.
So today my son will sing and my daughter will play as part of the Grandparents’ Day festivities. (And I’m sure the music will be excellent and not an embarrassment at all). I doubt they will give me permission to post the video, but you know I’ll try.
