July 9, 2014: Freeze Fresh Fruit
Want to know the trick to perfectly frozen fruit every time?
When summer fruit is plentiful, you want to want to be able to stock up while it’s at rock bottom prices. But if you don’t use all that fruit, then you’re just wasting money.
Eat what you can while it’s fresh and freeze the rest. The trick is to cut it up into bite-size pieces, spread them on a sheet lined with parchiament paper, and then flash freeze them. Once they’re frozen, double bag them and store them in the freezer for months! They’ll be perfectly preserved and ready when you are for smoothies, jams or your favorite dessert.
