Formal Senior Portrait Day {The Daily Dash: July 21, 2021}

IN MY LIFE:
How is it possible that I already have a child that’s about to be a senior in high school? In some ways I feel so unprepared, but I’m also not going to sweat the small stuff.
Today we went for her formal senior portraits. In my mind, I imagined we’d go get her hair and makeup done to prepare for this milestone. But as it snuck up on us, we both realized we just wanted her to be authentically herself.
So in true K fashion, she showered last night, put her hair in a braid, did her makeup in the car on the way to the session and then pulled her hair out of the braid as we were getting out of the car at the studio.
The whole thing lasted less than 15 minutes and she looked beautiful as always. Stay tuned to my Stories for a preview of some of our favorite shots from this morning…
