July 10, 2014: Food as Donations
Looking for ways to contribute, but short on time and money?
Our family is always looking for ways to help others, but often feel like we don’t have enough time OR money to make a difference in anyone’s life. That’s why I love using food as a contribution.
I know with a little time and effort, I can make my dollar stretch much further at the grocery store than if I donated it on its own. Recently, a dear friend was diagnosed with cancer, and we committed to researching and cooking healthy meals for her because that’s where we could make the most impact.
Whether it’s making meals for a family in need, or committing to help stock a food pantry regularly, make your donation dollars stretch further by first taking them to the grocery store.
