Y’all know how much I love living here in Music City, but today I’m going to SHOW you by introducing you to some of my favorite people, food, music and products that are native to Nashville!
We’ll kick off today’s show in the kitchen by learning how to make a craveable BiBimBap bowl from a restaurant that’s about to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. Then, I’m showing you 5 inexpensive ways to express gratitude with gifts that come from right here in Tennessee.
Next, you will not want to miss the conversation I have with 1996 Gold-Medal Olympic Gymnast, Dominique Moceanu. Finally, I’m taking you straight to the red carpet of the new documentary, “The Jesus Music” and sharing a surprise no-one saw coming.
Trust me, there is so much going on in today’s show that you don’t want to miss, so let’s get started because THIS is The Sami Cone Show…

5 Inexpensive Ways to Express Gratitude
Whether you have a new neighbor or want to help someone through a time of sickness or loss, you’ll appreciate these beautiful gift ideas on a budget, many of which come from Tennessee!
Dominique Moceanu Interview
I speak with 1996 Olympic Gold Medal Gymnast, Dominique Moceanu, about what motivates her to continue to speak up on behalf of women in gymnastics (& abuse survivors everywhere) after all these years. We also discuss how she teaches her own children and gymnasts to practice self-care and pay attention to their mental health.
The Jesus Music Red Carpet Interviews
Go with me to the red carpet premiere of the new documentary, The Jesus Music, to hear from some of Contemporary Christian Music’s biggest stars, including Michael W. Smith, The Newsboys, Bart Millard of Mercy Me, Joel Smallbone of For King & Country, and more…
Before I Go, I Need You to Know: I Got Engaged
Yes it’s true: I’m engaged!
What you didn’t see in that last segment was a proposal that happened on the red carpet. Luckily, there were a ton of cameras rolling, including this coverage of the entire proposal that was shared on The Jesus Music Instagram stories that night:
Watch the very end of the show to see the full proposal on the red carpet…
To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Not only was I surprised by the moment, but I continue to be surprised by God’s redeeming grace. While I had resigned myself to feeling broken and unwanted, God reminded me that my story wasn’t finished and he wasn’t done with me yet.

Wardrobe Sponsor: Lilly Pulitzer
As if I didn’t love fall enough already, I especially love Lilly Pulitzer in the fall. The colors are still vivid, but there’s a depth that appears, as well as styles we don’t get in the spring and summer.
Case in point: the Cleme Silk Dress in Purple Berry Fish Clip Chiffon. Lilly had a very similar dress last year, but in Spruce Green, and I STILL REGRET not buying it. So when I saw the dress come back, this time in PURPLE, I couldn’t resist!

Jewelry Provided by Kendra Scott
Once again, my friends at Kendra Scott in Nashville (Green Hills) made me look beautiful AND taught me something new. Not only do they help curate pieces like no one else, they are truly layering experts (with rings & necklaces!).
Here are quick links to the Kendra Scott jewelry I wore on the October show:
- Grayson Gold Pendant Necklace In White Crystal
- Livy Ring Set of 3 in Gold

Nails by Chao Nail + Bar
I’m literally dying over the pink & white ombré sparkle dip nails Chao Nail + Bar created for me for this month’s show. I also went with the almond shape tips instead of my usual square with rounded edges.
I appreciate how Chao uses individual dip containers for each client. Not only is this Nashville nail salon more sanitary than any other I’ve ever seen, they make me feel pampered each and every visit.
