Before I Go, I Need You to Know: Don’t Wait
Years ago, I wrote a little poem prayer in my journal: “Wait a day, sit and pray, if it comes back tomorrow, God will find a way.”
And while I still believe those words are very true – that God is not trying to rush or trick us – if this past year has taught me anything, it’s not to take one day for granted.
The first time I met Jody Dreyer, she told me “Go for it – get in line – do it – don’t sit back and watch life!”
I could tell you about countless opportunities I didn’t pursue because I hadn’t figured out all the steps, couldn’t see the finish line or didn’t know how it would end up. In almost all of those circumstances, I can tell you I wish I’d at least tried or started the process.
Nothing in this life is guaranteed, but we do have this moment RIGHT NOW.
So my advice to you is simple: DON’T WAIT!
Matthew 6:34 in The Message translation says:
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Whatever it is God is bringing to you heart this minute, whatever dream you haven’t been able to shake from your heart, whatever idea has been rolling around in your head or whomever God keeps bringing to mind, act on it!
Stop dreaming about what could be and take action about what you can do today.

Wardrobe Sponsor: Lilly Pulitzer
As soon as I tried on this Calla yellow Off-the-Shoulder Laurenne Top, I knew it was the one (and I don’t even like yellow that much!). This is the perfect spring top and pairs perfectly with my cropped white jeans from Lilly and I can’t wait to wear it with shorts this summer too.
Special thanks to Lilly Pulitzer at The Mall at Green Hills for always helping me look my best on camera each month.
