Today is the day people. I’m not going to discuss politics or policy, I just want you to go vote today.
I do have one rant: not only am I sickened by all the political ads we’ve been subjected to, but I’ve just heard a record amount of money has been spent on ads. Since NO-ONE likes/listens to the ads and EVERYONE wants to eradicate poverty in our country, why not ban ads and take that money to actually HELP people?!
I know, I know, you say it’ll never happen. But why can’t it? If someone can lobby to subject us to prescription medication ads all over our media, can’t we lobby to limit the amount of money spent on campaigns? Just saying…
