On Talk of the Town today, I shared 3 easy no-sew costume ideas that anyone can make use of in time for this Halloween, or even anytime your kids need a costume, whether for a school event or just dress up at home!
3 Easy No-Sew Costume Ideas
Look in your closet
Find clothes you or your kids already have in your closets and dress them up a bit, like I did with this Pokemon costume for my daughter this year. I took at Gap dress my daughter already had, then cut out white paper bows so she could be her favorite Pokemon character this year.
Shop Goodwill
When our family decided to dress up in a Despicable Me family costume last year, we turned to Goodwill! I found my jacket, the kids’ shirts and overalls and even the yellow cap to turn my son into a minion!
The Amazing T-Shirt
It’s amazing what you can do with a t-shirt these days! When my daughter needed to be a Natchez Trace Indian for a school production, my husband made a homemade girls Indian costume with nothing else but a t-shirt and some beads.

Great costumes, you had me at “no sew”! My daughter is into Pokemon but I’d never have thought it possible to make a costume without a lot of work. Very creative!
We ended up going with two more no-sew costumes an hour before trick or treating, so I’ll have to add those soon too Katie!
