IN MY LIFE:
Since I went WELL over our typical time together yesterday, I’m going to keep today’s Daily Dash short and sweet. There are a couple events I wanted to make you aware about today.
First of all, it’s the 75th anniversary of D-Day. My father served in WWII, but many of my friends and their kids are at least a generation (or two) removed from anyone who remembers that day first-hand. Take time to educate yourself and your family on the importance of today.
Second of all, National Donut Day is tomorrow, but Mapco is offering free donuts today. Make sure to sign up for their rewards program for all sorts of goodies and fuel savings (for example, I get 7 cents off per gallon almost every Thursday!)
Finally, Cheekwood botanical garden kicks off their Thursday Night Out series, running June 6 – October 24. The estate and garden will stay open late until 9pm and offer live music, bar stations, lawn games and and a variety of special events and programming through the summer. Thursday Night Out is offered at half-price for not-yet members, and is free to Cheekwood members.
