February 20, 2015: Cruise Last Minute with a Local
I know we’ve already spent a week talking about how to save money on cruises this month, but I had one more tip that was too good to go to waste.
If you really want to get maximum savings on a cruise vacation, cruise with a local.
What I mean by that is find a friend or family member who lives in the same state where the cruise port is located and have them book the cruise with you. Often times, cruise lines will offer steep discounts on last minute cruises for local residents and as long as they are traveling with you, you can often take advantage of the savings as well.
You may not get a lot of advanced notice for such a trip, but it sure will make for a fun and affordable surprise!
