One of the biggest questions I get asked is about coupon organization.
If you’ve watched Extreme Couponing on TLC, you may have seen those giant 3-ring binders that many of them use. Personally, I don’t know how they afford all those inserts they need to organize the coupons. But even if I could afford and carry that thing around, I don’t think I could keep it current!
What really made couponing work for me was when I started keeping my coupon inserts whole and organizing them chronologically in a rolling file folder. That way, when I’m ready to pull together coupons before my shopping trip, I just look up what coupons I need and then work through my inserts by date.
If I print a coupon out online or don’t use one that I cut, I think store it in one of those little accordion files that I keep in my car.
Whatever you do, the key is to make it work for you! After all, you can’t use a coupon if you can’t find it!
What about you? I want you to chime in on my BlogFrog discussion below. Who knows, maybe we can even learn something from each other!
