Recently, I joined a group of bloggers in Birmingham to share Captain D’s New Look (#DsNewLook)!
If you remember, I shared with you last year why I was introducing my kids to Captain D’s here in Nashville: redesigned restaurants focused around family and community, as well as their commitment to healthier kids meal choices, including their grilled menu items.
Members from the Captain D’s headquarters joined us to share about their commitment and explain just a few of their favorite menu items, including the 400 possible kids meal combinations!
Even when going through the drive thru, you have your choice from six different fire-grilled options, most of which are ready in under 5 minutes.
During our Birmingham blogger event, we were treated to an experience with some of the most amazing balloon artist and face paint creators I’ve ever seen! And who says the kids had to have all the fun? BamaGirlRuns and I went for a little eye bling…
Just look at how the transformed my kids into superheroes! (Posing with their Captain Ds Kids Meal and Michaelangelo, the balloon Super Ninja Turtle).
And even though we were focusing on Captain Ds fire-grilled options, they said we had to try the cheesecake bites; I almost wish I’d never tried them – they were SOOOOO good!
And yes, Michaelangelo and Wonder Woman got into a pretty heated battle around the community table (perfect for a large family, sports team or superhero meeting).
We’ve enjoyed getting to learn more about Captain Ds over the past year and appreciate having a healthier dining option when we’re on the road.
Have you given the new look of Captain Ds a try yet?
