We all know that kids say the darndest things, but I forgot that adults can come up with a few of their own doozies too!
I had so many giggles today – that I thought I’d share just a few with you all:
“Welcome to the mountain of dirty!”
(said by a 3yo friend upon our arrival at the local nature center)
Upon hearing that my 4yo isn’t fond of vegetables, a state health care worker actually suggested the following:
“Why don’t you try grating a carrot and putting it in a congealed salad?”
WHAT???? Should the word “congealed” actually be in any sentence dealing with food, much less masquerade in a sentence about healthy food??? I had to ask her to repeat herself, and no, I didn’t mis-understand her.
All I could muster in response was, “I think it defeats the purpose to feed my children vegetables if you’re going to cover them with processed food.” Was that out of line?
