I’m less than 24 hours away from my hysterectomy and I’m already blown away by the outpouring of love and support I’ve received, including the gift of an energy release therapy session…
Energy Release Work Before Hysterectomy {Daily Dash: February 27, 2025}
IN MY LIFE:
Well, the time has almost come. I’ve received so much love, advice, and generosity since I posted about my surgery. Today I spoke with my surgeon and completed all my pre-operation appointments.
I was also gifted a session with Jen Poulson who is a gifted Personal Coach specializing in Energy Release Work. This includes healing your inner child, releasing limiting beliefs, and processing trauma (and what you believe about yourself because of the trauma). But more than anything, she helped me process my emotions about the surgery and shift my energy before the operation.
It’s hard to describe exactly what she does and how I experienced it, but as she laid hands on me, her prayers almost felt prophetic and more than anything, I was able to sense and tap into feelings I wasn’t even aware of when I walked in. The table work she does is powerful, but she also meets with clients virtually.
I’m also grateful for the friends who have set up a meal train, volunteered to bring meals, offered to drive me around after my mom and aunt leave, and basically just made themselves available should I need them. I’m also collecting a ton of advice and recommendations for what I’ll need immediately after surgery (like a hysterectomy pillow—who knew?).
More than anything, I’ve been advised to rest. As much as I don’t like to sit still, it seems like this is a time to accept help, sit in my feminine energy, receive, and allow my heart and body to heal. Thank you for allowing me the time, space, and grace to do exactly that. I’m grateful for each of you!
